Rebel Athletic is welcoming Edie George to the new position of Director of International Business Development and Marketing Strategy. Already a global brand, Rebel Athletic is creating this new position to better service the needs of international gyms and independent event producers.
Rebel Athletic was founded in 2012 with a simple objective: to provide the best cheerleading uniforms in the industry, at the best value, backed by the best service, choice and designs available anywhere in the world. Five years later, conservative estimates show Rebel to be servicing approximately one third of the domestic US all star market, and rapidly growing in every market globally.
With the creation of the new, dedicated International Division, Rebel Athletic plans to continue their growth trend with a nuanced approach to each region. Edie George comes in to the position of Director of International Business Development and Marketing Strategy with a strong international background. From Australia, and with networks through the UK, Canada, Europe and Asia-Pacific, she will be focused on tailoring the Rebel experience to the specific needs of each international cheerleading community.
“As part of the international cheer community, I know firsthand the struggles of finding a reputable company who is invested in making a lasting commitment to working in your region of the world. I approached Rebel Athletic with a proposal to build a specific international division, with the aim of amplifying their domestic success on a global scale. With this comes the expectation that Rebel Athletic will support the overall growth of cheerleading worldwide, including independent event producers and national federations.”
